Tools

Calculators for machine vision, production and GPU computing, and a converter that turns scans into Word documents. Each tool runs in your browser and answers one question before you buy equipment or make a decision; results can be downloaded or copied.

  • Camera Field of View Calculator

Check, before you buy them, whether a camera and lens cover the area you need to see and how many millimetres each pixel spans. It works out the field of view, the angles of view and the millimetres per pixel at your distance.

  • Lens and Sensor Selection Calculator

Choose the lens and sensor that resolve the smallest feature you need to measure and keep it sharp over the depth you need. It works out the focal length, the millimetres per pixel, the f-number, the depth of field and the parallax error.

  • Bandwidth and Storage Calculator

Size the network links and the recorder’s storage for your IP cameras before you install them. It works out the streams' bitrates, the protocol overhead, the links' load and the storage for the days of recording you need.

  • OEE Calculator

See how much of its planned production time a machine or line turns into good parts, and what the losses cost. It works out availability, performance, quality and OEE from shift times and part counts.

  • Machine Hour Rate Calculator

Know what one hour of a machine or line costs, running or not, to price jobs and compare machines. It works out depreciation, interest, insurance, floor space, labour and overheads per hour.

  • OEE Improvement ROI Calculator

Find out whether an investment that raises OEE pays for itself, and how soon. It works out the payback, the net gain, the return and the net present value from the production time the investment recovers.

  • GPU Rental Profitability Calculator

Find out whether a GPU server you rent out by the hour on a compute marketplace pays for itself, on your premises or in colocation. It works out the profit a month, the break-even price and occupancy, and the balance month by month over five years.

  • OCR PDF to Word Converter

Turns scanned PDFs and page photos into editable Word documents, Markdown or PDF, in your browser.
