Computer vision and computing services
Each engagement begins with an agreed scope and price, and the solution is validated on the client's own data.
On this page: computer vision, document digitisation, AI workload hosting, GPU hardware rental, deployment options, questions and answers, and the enquiry form.
Computer vision
Measurement and visual inspection
Dimensional measurement and visual inspection of products from camera images. We calibrate the cameras and convert image measurements into millimetres, correcting for parallax and edge blur. Accuracy is specified in millimetres and verified on the client's parts.
- Dimensions, gaps and positions in millimetres
- Detection and marking of visible defects
- Measurement error verified against a reference
Machine monitoring
Monitoring of machines without a data interface: older machines without a controller, machines whose manufacturer restricts or charges for data access, and machines with analogue gauges. A camera records when the machine is running, when it is idle, where the machine and its moving parts are, and the readings of its gauges.
- Running and idle time per shift
- A log of stoppages with time, duration and video clip
- Tracking of the physical position of machines and their moving parts
- Readings from analogue gauges and indicator lights
Factory monitoring
Custom functions for existing CCTV installations: for integrators whose clients require functions beyond the standard system, and for manufacturers whose system does not fit their processes or automation.
- Detection of vehicles, pallets, boxes in defined zones, counting and line crossing
- Recording continuity checks for every camera
- Integration of events with plant automation systems
Document digitisation
Conversion of scanned and handwritten documents into searchable text and structured data. Where documents may not leave the client's premises, processing runs on an offline computer on site.
- Text extraction from scans and handwriting
- Field extraction into spreadsheets or existing systems
- Full-text search across the archive
- Error rate measured on a sample
Projects start with a sample of 50 pages: we return the extracted text, the measured error rate and a quotation for the full archive. A data processing agreement is signed before any documents are transferred.
AI workload hosting
Private AI services for text, image, video and audio generation, set up and operated for the client. The models run on dedicated hardware: on Blixild's servers in Poland, on the client's premises or in the client's own cloud account. Client data is not passed to third-party AI providers.
- Selection of models for the use case, with a review of their licences for commercial use
- A private API with access control and usage logging
- Hardware sized for the expected load
- Monitoring, updates and maintenance
Based on the use case, the expected volume and where the system should run, we propose the models, the hardware and the cost.
GPU hardware rental
GPU systems for evaluating hardware before purchase, or for training and inference workloads. Each system is dedicated to one client at a time, with remote or on-site access.
| System | GPU memory | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| NVIDIA H200 | 141 GB HBM3e | Training and fine-tuning of large models |
| NVIDIA DGX Spark | 128 GB unified | Local language models; evaluation before purchase |
| NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 | 32 GB GDDR7 | Inference and computer vision workloads |
| NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 | 24 GB GDDR6X | Compatibility testing on the previous GPU generation |
| NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano | 8 GB | Edge deployment and on-camera inference |
Rates on request. Billing is based on actual usage, with a VAT invoice. The H200 is hosted in a server room with a fibre connection, LTE backup, UPS power and air conditioning. Setup, monitoring, security and maintenance are handled by Blixild, and technical questions are answered directly by an engineer.
Deployment options
- On-premises: on a computer at the client's site, offline if required.
- Blixild cloud: on our servers in Poland, with data kept within the EU.
- Public cloud: in the client's own AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account.
Services are billed per project. Ongoing processing and hosting are available on request.
Questions and answers
Measurement and visual inspection
- How accurate are measurements from camera images?
- Accuracy depends on the camera, lens, distance and part, so we state it in millimetres after measuring a sample of your parts against a reference. Calibration and correction for parallax and edge blur are part of every setup.
- Which defects can be detected?
- Visible surface defects such as scratches, dents, missing parts or the wrong colour, provided they appear at the required size in the camera image.
Machine monitoring
- Does machine monitoring need sensors or a connection to the controller?
- No. A camera that sees the machine is enough, which suits older machines and machines whose manufacturer restricts access to data.
- Can an existing CCTV camera be used?
- Often yes, if it has a clear view of the machine; otherwise a camera is added in a suitable position.
- Is this employee monitoring?
- No. The analysis covers the state of the machine, not the performance of the people working with it.
Factory monitoring
- Does the installed CCTV system have to be replaced?
- No. We add functions to the cameras and recorders already installed, and the existing system keeps working as before.
- Is the service available to integrators?
- Yes. The integrator provides the client's requirements and details of the installed system, and we build and test the function.
Document digitisation
- Can handwritten documents be digitised?
- Yes. Accuracy on handwriting depends on the writing, so the error rate is measured on a 50-page sample before the whole archive is quoted.
- Do the documents have to leave our premises?
- No. If documents may not leave the premises, they are processed on site on an offline computer.
- How is personal data in the documents protected?
- A data processing agreement is signed before any documents are transferred.
AI workload hosting
- Which models can be hosted?
- Models for text, image, video and audio generation whose licences allow the intended commercial use; we review each model's licence before recommending it.
- Is our data passed to external AI providers?
- No. The models run on dedicated hardware: on Blixild's servers in Poland, on your premises or in your own cloud account.
GPU hardware rental
- Why rent hardware before buying it?
- To check that a model fits in memory and runs at the required speed on that hardware before committing to a purchase.
- How is a system accessed?
- Remotely over the network or in person on site; each system serves one client at a time.
- How is rental billed?
- By actual usage, with a VAT invoice; rates are given on request.
